Sept. 25, 1961

I've been studying this mansion for quite a while. I've been told by locals that this mansion seems to appear every 40 years. It stays for about two years, then disappears for another 40 years. In the next forty years I will be in my sixties, so I must find as much information as I can about the mansion before it disappears. I only have one year left. I already have captured the ghosts, and know about their hobbies and personalities, but I need to find out about how they died.

Sept. 29, 1961

I have studied the deaths of the first family, and what I found is rather saddening. Apparently, the twins, Henry and Orville were both playing hide and seek in their own unique way. They both hid inside little boxes. After a while, it became less easy for them breathe. But to their horror, as they attempted to get out, the boxes were accidently locked shut. From what I could make out, they tried hit the top of the boxes. They were probley too panicked to think about trying to tip the boxes over their sides make the latches lift up, releasing them. After some time, the children ran out of air and died. It took their mother a while to find them dead in the boxes.

Baby Chauncey's death was more disappointing. One night, he got a high fever. He cried for his parents to help him, but they couldn't hear him because his cries were too weak from his illness. After a few hours, the infant died of it's illness. In the morning, the parents found that they had lost another child.

As for Lydia, her death was more shocking and rather violent. It was a stormy day, Lydia was brushing her hair at her vanity, by the window. A bolt of lightning hit the window, causing the window to shatter. One of the pieces of glass slice into her neck. As she was bleeding tremendously, she crawled towards the wall, where on the other side was her husband's study. She banged her fist on the wall, drawing attention from Neville. He called, asking what she needed. He overheard her gagging and moaning. He came into their room and saw her bleeding to death. As he tried to help his wife, Neville called for help, but no one in the mansion heard him. Eventually Lydia died of blood loss.

A few days after Lydia's death, Neville was so depressed he poisoned himself. His body was found in his study, sitting in his rocking chair. The bottle of poison was found next to his chair, and there was a book in his lap. Apparently he was reading while he was waiting for the poison to take his life.

The Floating Whirlindas were apparently murdered in the ballroom. They had won a major dance contest. Apparently the couple who won second place in the contest killed them out of jealously. Tsk tsk.

As for Shivers and Melody, their death took place on the same day by the same cause. Shivers was supposedly trying to impress Melody, with a fire, but ending up tripping over one of the instruments in the music room, and caught both himself and Melody on fire. Melody fell into her piano and the lid fell on her, where she was trapped, and burned to death. Shivers just ran around the room like mad, until he too, burned to death. Apparently, after death, Melody never forgave him for what happen. It also appears that Shivers is still reliving the moment before he brought fire to Melody, when he was trying to figure out how to impress her.

I actually spoke with Madame Clairvoya, who is somehow able to speak through her painting. She told me was killed by Bogmire, who she accidently summoned during fortune telling.

Mr. Luggs death didn't surprise me too much. He died from heart attack from over eating. That what you get for being that greedy.

As for Mr. Luggs' dog, Spooky, died of hunger. The only person who fed him was the kind Madame Clairvoya. After she died, no one would feed him, thus leading to his death. I think I now know why he guards his dog house which leads to the graveyard. Apparently, he wasn't trying to harm anyone. He was trying to prevent other people from suffer the same death as Madame Clairvoya.

Biff's death was amazed me. Apparently, he was making fun of Slim Bankshot. Slim punched one of the punching bags, knocking Biff backwards, banging his head on one of the weights. Slim, feeling panicked, left Biff to die. Eventually, a few days later, Slim hug himself from the ceiling fan to avoid facing the consequences of killing Biff.

I read Nana's diaries. She said that Miss Petunia was alright after having the bathtub full of ice cubes joke was pulled on her. In a more recent diary, Nana confessed that Petunia did not live from the practical joke. The cold ice cubes had caused Miss Petunia to have a heart attack and die. Petunia's ghost made sure that was the last prank Nana ever pulled, by stabbing her with one of her knitting needles.

Sue Pea's death was the least painful of all deaths in this house. She had a sleeping disorder, where she would sleep for many hours. So long, her bladder would filled up to the point of wetting the bed. Eventually, Sue went into a coma, and passed away during her long sleep.

Jarvis's death was a bit similar to the twins death. He was so fond of jars, he decided to go sleep inside of one. However once he got inside, he started to suffocate. He tried to get out but he was stuck. He ran out of air quickly, leading to his death. It took a long time for someone to find him.

Sir Weston was something that science call barley explain. He had just gotten back to the mansion from Antarctica, where he immediately went to the freezer. One of the servants came to him with a lantern. Weston warned them not to go near him with fire, claiming that he would melt. The servant insisted on bringing it to him, and as Weston said, he melted. Apparently, he was in Antarctica for so long that heat became a weakness for him. He had become ice itself.

Uncle Grimmly got a taste of his own medicine when he died. He used to be rather good at scaring until his death, which made his attempts at scaring people were weak. He used to scare people really badly, until one of the people gave him his revenge. He came out of one of the closets one day, wearing a terrorfying mask. Grimmly was so frightened he was laterally scared to death.

As for Vincent Van Gore, he died of a broken heart. No one appreciate his paintings so much, it killed him.

The Clockwork Soldiers have a more terrorifying story. Apparently their creator was being ripped off by a man who wanted to take away his business. Eventually, the hethen did. A few days later, the soldier's creator passed away. When the business man returned to take what the toy maker had left, he was killed by the clockwork Soldiers, avenging their creator. Soon after, they threw themselves into one of the chimneys where their wooden bodies were destroyed in the furnace of the mansion.

It took me so long to figure out the story of Bogmire. Apparently, Bogmire was never alive. He was always a spirit. A very angry spirit. After killing Clairvoya, he put a curse on the house, that within two years, everyone in the mansion were dead, and will never be able to rest even in death, unless they were sealed between clothe and paint, bordered by metal. Apparently, by turning the ghosts into paintings and give them either a bronze, silver, or gold frame, the ghost are able to rest. My readings say that Bogmire himself seems more at peace within a painting.

Madame Clairvoya seemed more willing to let me turn her into a painting, apparently she was more aware of her death than the other ghosts and she could only feel at peace if she was in a painting.

The mansion has disappears, never to return until 40 years. Maybe I'll do my other studies here, until the mansion returns, then I could do more research on it. In the meantime, I think I'll make a better version of my Poltergust 200.

Sept. 25, 2001

40 years have passed, and the mansion has returned. I think I'm gonna to test out my Poltergust 3000 there. There seems to still be more ghosts there.

Sept. 26, 2001

Calamity! A young fellow in red clothing just went up to the mansion and got pulled in by these round white ghosts. One of the ghosts was wearing a ruby for a crown, had red eyes, and a blue mouth. I think these creatures are called "Boos" if I'm not mistaken. I better go in there and help the poor fella. Better bring my Poltergust 3000.
This is an old fanfic I wrote about a year ago. This is a documentary Egadd wrote about the deaths of the ghosts from Luigi's mansion.
